Winter Camps at La Garenne International School
We invite young people aged from 5 to 16 to join the best Winter Camp in Switzerland for an exceptional stay in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Located in the pretty ski resort of Villars-sur-Ollon, this is a stunning environment for our students to explore.
With ski slopes right on the doorstep, we offer a ski-in, ski-out international boarding school experience. You can combine skiing with academic courses or ski all day - the choice is yours.
At 1,300 metres above sea level, we are surrounded by majestic Alpine peaks including Mont Blanc. Our sunny campus is refreshed by pure alpine air. Below us is the Rhone Valley and the famous Swiss Riviera with its lakeside centres of Montreux, Lausanne and Geneva.
Our mission is to give all our students an unforgettable experience in a warm international family environment, full of diverse opportunities, in a safe location in exceptional surroundings. It is a home away from home. The adult to student ratio is 1:2 and our qualified staff and instructors ensure camps are safe and memorable.
La Garenne is renowned as one of the world's finest boarding schools. We are home to almost 200 students aged from 4 to 18 who study accredited academic programmes including the IB Diploma, before progressing to top universities in Europe and further afield.
Health, Safety and Well-Being
Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world. Our campus provides a healthy, secure environment for all children and all our facilities adhere to the latest safety standards.
The health of your child is of utmost importance to us. We endorse the four pillars of well-being: a balanced diet, plenty of sleep, daily activities and a healthy mind. Our professional team provides stability and pastoral care.
Our menus are provided by specialist food group Eldora. They deliver varied, balanced meals using high quality local produce and guarantee the highest levels of hygiene, food preparation and storage.
Switzerland is known across the world for its excellent health care standards. We have close links to the local medical centre and work with a network of health professionals to ensure immediate care is given to any child in need. On site, we have our own nurse and all staff are trained in First Aid.
School Year Programme

The annual school programme is for students aged from 4 to 18. the curriculum is taught in English with compulsory French at all levels.
Students can also join La Garenne as part of our "Integration Programme" which offers a brief taste of academic and boarding life. Afterwards, some choose to stay on, or join us full-time at the start of next academic year
La Garenne International School is fully accredited for all IB programmes including the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma courses. Our youngest students follow the British National Curriculum with a focus on outdoor learning and elements of the International Primary Curriculum.
Whether during the school year or during our winter and summer camps, La Garenne provides wonderful opportunities to stimulate children’s natural curiosity and teach them valuable life skills.

Summer Camps at La Garenne
During the summer holidays, La Garenne hosts young people from all over the world for stays from 2 to 6 weeks at our Summer Camp. Students have French or English classes in the morning and a huge variety of sports, excursions and leisure activities in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends.
